September Incident - Evening Incident Update (Final)

As of 18:00 today, Unified Command between San Bernardino County Fire Protection District and @CALFIREBDU has been dissolved. Crews from varying agencies will continue their efforts to support the community and work toward restoring normalcy.

San Bernardino County Fire Damage Assessment Teams have not yet released initial estimates, but those will be provided once available. We extend our gratitude to all cooperating agencies for their hard work and partnership throughout this incident.

No further incident updates will be issued.

Evacuation Warning Lifted
As of Friday, September 19, 2025, the evacuation warning has been lifted for the communities of Forest Falls, Angelus Oaks, Seven Oaks, and the Oak Glen area from Pendleton Road east to Glen Road (north and south).

Residents are advised to stay informed and monitor local weather updates.

Closures are in place both at Jenks Lake West and Middle Control Road. As you can see in the picture, this is a fairly significant washout out with an unknown ETA of reopening at this time as it is still being assessed. Plan your travels accordingly. [Click Here]

I asked CalTrans- the current closure is basically East Jenks all the way to Lake Williams.

Another earthquake in Kamchatka 7.8 yesterday.

I’m as confused about it as everyone! Didn’t make sense ..,

SCM ... I was about to say, the closure area in Google Maps has shifted

FROM CALTRANS:
SBDCO: The closure on SR-38 between Forest Falls and Angelus Oaks has been lifted. Traffic can now pass through this section. A new hard closure is in place from Post Mile 20.50 at Middle Control to Lakewood Road near Big Bear. The closure is due to a slip-out and mudslides impacting the roadway. Crews are actively working in the area.

I thought the same KN6, the threat is much lower today than yesterday. So I thought maybe it was a delayed reaction.

Maybe BBNona can provide some additional clarity...

Thanks for the weather update. I was a bit confused and almost wondered if the warning was delayed from yesterday because I currently don't even see anything on radar. Good to know that it is a potential development.
