Hoping there will be a comprehensive necropsy to determine if there was indeed a toxin involved. Then Jackie's last gift might be awareness of such a toxin's impact on the ecosystem - her passing should not be in vain. And if toxins are ruled out, then it's simply a tragic loss.
PS Jackie It would be cool for the mountain to get her remains{ashes}and sprinkle them below the nest and also some to spread on the lake? Just a thought.
What a bummer that BBs eagle has passed. Mother nature can be brutal at times. I count it a privilege to be able to view the nest and family 24/7/365. Sad news for sure.
