Sinclair across from freedom fuels in Yucaipa was 2.99 cash (or at least was the other day). Usually either Freedom fuels off Bryant or 38/Lugonia is cheapest and where I fill up when I go down the hill.

WEATHER UPDATE:
Big Bear City is now reporting RAIN. Temp 36F

Made a round trip on Hwy 38 last night, it was clear despite lots of signage saying road closed, no Big Bear Access, turn back, etc. Looks like they have parts marked out for asphalt removal and replacement in the coming weeks. Some whole hillsides gave way and are now copiously hydroseeded and straw wattled. Hwy 38 is a lot straighter than curvy 330, which could be more deadly as you'll be going a lot faster when you hit something. Some BIG rocks by the side of the road just before Onyx summit, that would have dinged somebody's bell if they hit them. I had forgotten how dark 38 is at night, not many reflectors and oncoming cars blind you. Cheap gas in Mentone, $3.69 credit price.

So what is that now, 18 Mexican restaurants not counting the taco truck or possible future Chipotle? But with all that, you'd think you'd be able to find a decent cup of champurrado...

CALTRANS UPDATE:
SR-138 lanes between Wagon Train Road and junction SR-173 are reopened. However, this is still a closure on the SR-138 from junction SR-2 to Cajon Blvd.
