snowski yes! We had quite the show last night. Tonight is forecast to be a little less than last night, then possibly a little better tomorrow night.

Anywhere in Big Bear that has a decent northerly view could see it. Best spots are in the east Valley, up near God's Eye and some of those turn-offs north of Onyx Summit, viewing out over the high desert.

Can the Northern Lights be seen from Big Bear lake area? Do I need to go to a specific area (Dam, Fawnskin, etc.) to view?

1AM is expected to be the best time to see them.

I added a THREAD in the GENERAL DISCUSSION forum called "SCM MISC SHARE THREAD". You can use this thread to add content, upload photos, video, and other content that you want to share with others.

It seemed to get better very late. you could barely make anything out around 9pm / 10pm but by midnight it was easier to see with the naked eye. Big Bear will be a great place to see this.

What's a good time for viewing?

Will we be able to see the "lights" tonight? Had no idea they were visible last night or I would have been up. Some beautiful pictures have been posted .
